Travel Claims
Situations arise during your travels and you need to submit a travel claim? Here is a list of the relevant documents to submit for each type of claim.

MEDICAL EXPENSES

  • Original Medical Bills
  • Medical Report/Inpatient Discharge Summary (if applicable)
  • Copy of passport/itinerary for proof of travel

*Do take note of the time-frame to seek medical treatment in Singapore if prior medical treatment has not been sought overseas.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT

  • Death Certificate
  • Medical Report
  • Autopsy & Toxicology Report
  • Police report & findings

TRIP CANCELATION/POSTPONEMENT

  • Death Certificate/ Doctor’s letter (Death/Unfit to Travel)
  • Invoice from tour agency and letter showing breakdown of tour package, amount refunded and cancellation charges.
  • Proof of relationship to Insured

PERSONAL LIABILITY

  • Do not admit liability or make any offer, promise or payment without prior consent. Submit all correspondence/ documents from third parties for the insurer’s handling.

BAGGAGE DELAY

  • Property irregularity report from the Airline
  • Air Ticket and acknowledgement receipt on baggage received

*Benefits only payable for every full 6 consecutive hours of delay.

TRAVEL DELAY

  • Delay report from airline showing time & reason for flight delay
  • Air Ticket and Boarding Pass

*Benefits only payable for every full 6 consecutive hours of delay.

BAGGAGE LOSS/DAMAGE

  • Property irregularity Report/ Police/ Hotel Management Report
  • Original proof of purchase & original warranty cards/repair bills
  • Photographs of the damage
  • Letter of Compensation from Airlines/hotel management

*Loss must be reported to relevant authorities within 24 hours of incident.

BAGGAGE/PERSONAL MONEY/TRAVEL DOCUMENTS LOSS

  • Loss must be due to Robbery, Theft, Burglary or circumstances beyond your control.
  • Police/Relevant Authorities Report
  • Receipts for obtaining replacement of travel documents
  • Hotel bills incurred for replacement of documents
  • Transportation bill

*Loss must be reported to relevant authorities within 24 hours of incident.
